I had a great time visiting Language Stars in Arlington Heights a few months ago! They had their summer classes starting and there were a lot of people in and out when we got there. The staff and teachers were super friendly and welcoming and I instantly felt comfortable. My children enjoyed the fun ways that they taught the language to the children in the classes. We were able to get a glimpse of a Mandarin class and two different Spanish classes. The teachers used a variety of fun activities, toys and other props to get the children involved and joining in with their new language. We heard many catchy songs, saw fun puppets and several bright toys used in the classes, even in the short time we were there. As you can see from the photos below, the children had a lot of fun learning!
Language Stars offers fun foreign language classes for children ages 1-10 in 5 languages including Spanish, French, German, Italian, and Mandarin Chinese. Reena Nair, Center Director of Arlington Heights Language Stars shares, “There are many benefits to learning a foreign language early! It has been linked to greater self-confidence, increased cultural sensitivity, improved math and problem-solving skills, ease of learning additional languages, higher standardized test scores, and greater future earnings potential. Language Stars has so many locations throughout the Chicagoland area which you can view HERE. It was also mentioned to us that they are opening a brand new center in Wrigleyville. They are also starting their Academic Year 2013-2014 season on September 3rd and families are welcome to do a trial class with them. They ask that you give them a call and start your child’s language learning today!
