Our annual Mommy and Me Mini Sessions are coming up soon! We will have our sessions in the morning on Sunday, May 1st from 9-10am in a location in the Northwest Chicago Suburbs.
Sadly, I’m told all of the time to just “photograph the kids.” I will tell you that I understand. I had two sets of photographs taken of my family last year. The first time was on the beach on our first big vacation ever. My husband and I announced our pregnancy to our three boys. It was such a special moment and I was thrilled to have a photo of my boys with me.

As you can see, it is a completely natural interaction with me and my boys. I can take plenty of photos of them but it is important to me to be in the photos. They will not be young forever and they will want to see photos of themselves of course but mainly they will want to see Mom and Dad with them. Your children will want to know what you did together, were you affectionate with them, did you light up in their presence and so many questions that these special moment photos can answer for them.
This is why I offer these types of sessions. I want everyone to have a chance to have a photo taken with their children and display it in their home. These are the types of photos that will make you smile when your toddler dumps your phone in the toilet, when your teenager says “I hate you,” when your 5 year old acts like they know everything, when your kids grow up and aren’t around as much. I wish I remembered to get in more photos with my children and trust me, it is something I’m REALLY working on remembering more often especially on holidays or other special special events but I get it. Moms are busy, moms don’t always have time to put on make up, moms always have x pounds to lose, and so many other things we can make excuses for not being in those photos.
“Take the time to be in more photos with your children. Don’t worry about how you look that day because the smile on your face when with your children will be the focus, not the fact that you have spit up on your shirt or bags under your eyes. This is my advice for you.”

Mommy and Me Mini Sessions Event Details:
Event Date: Sunday, May 1st, 2016
Times Available: 9:00, 9:15, 9:30, 9:45
Location : TBD — the location will be outdoors in the Palatine/Arlington Heights area
Cost: $150 (minimum cost–add on items available) — This includes a 10-15 minute session with Mom and child(ren), 6 digital images with full print release, online viewing gallery with optional add on prints and custom products
The location is the NW Chicago Suburbs and will be determined soon and discussed with those who are booking a space. All sessions include Mom and children (limit of 6 people total included in package above, $15 each additional person). Due to the nature of this special event and limited spaces, no refunds will be issued. If you book a session and cannot make it, you are responsible for selling the session to another interested party. In the case of inclement weather, I will contact you to reschedule our session as soon as possible. If session takes place on May 1st, all digital images will be available by Mother’s Day. All participants will be sent a link to view their proofs and will have to submit a short online order form to complete their order.
