Custom newborn portrait sessions are a beautiful way to capture those first few moments with your brand new baby. We’ll photograph those tiny toes, fingers, nose, eyelashes and all of the little details that make up your brand new miracle. Family and sibling images are welcome and encouraged as I love to photograph that brand new bond that forms between the family members. All of the details are planned ahead of your session to fit the family’s style. Just Peachy Photography makes sure your baby is 100% safe and with over 6 years of experience with handling and posing newborns, you can be assured that your baby is in very loving and safe hands.

Please note that all of our sessions are all-inclusive and include some amount of fully edited, high-resolution color and black and white digital images with a full print release.

Digital images include fully edited, high-resolution color and black and white images with full print release. This means you may have your images printed wherever you want, in any quantity and any size. Just Peachy Photography sells high quality prints and custom products and also offers suggestions of places to have your prints made on your own. We cannot guarantee the quality of prints and products purchased elsewhere. Digital images will be provided through digital download. We will send instructions to you through email on how to download your images to your computer. If you prefer, you may purchase a USB flash drive with your images for your convenience and safekeeping.

A mother and her growing child are beautiful! It is a special time between Mom and baby. The look on a new mother’s face when she thinks about her baby is something you want to cherish. When we add Dad in the mix, it is a true show of emotions. Maternity images can be done in many ways. I love to capture the relationships between Mom and baby or Mom, Dad and baby. This can be done outdoors at any time of year or indoors for a studio look. We will discuss the details of your session ahead of time to ensure you are completely comfortable. My style is to focus on the connections made during this time usually using natural lighting outdoors. Indoor studio lighting can be used in my in-home studio space in Palatine or in your own home.

Maternity sessions can take place on-location, outdoors within 10 miles of Palatine, IL OR in our studio space in downtown Palatine, IL. Petite maternity sessions include up to 5 people or pets(no extended family), a 20-30 minute session and 10 fully edited, high-resolution digital images in color and black and white with full print release. Prices subject to change at any time. Prices are locked in once your session is booked.

The best time to schedule a newborn session is in your second trimester or at least 2 months before the baby is due This will give you time to plan your session and ask any questions you have ahead of time. Sessions are limited each month for newborn sessions so it is important to get on the schedule as early as possible. If you did not schedule your session at this time, please contact us to check for availability.

Newborn sessions generally take about 2-3 hours but may take longer if you have a baby who needs more feeding breaks or if you choose to have the session in your home due to set up and clean up times.

Newborn sessions take place in our studio space in downtown Palatine, IL. It is a comfortable space where parents can relax and take it easy while I take care of your baby. I will have your set ups ready to go when you arrive with a full studio set up with professional lighting. Occasionally, I am able to travel to my clients’ homes for a session. There is a traveling fee included in this option. Traveling is only available on weekends and will be limited. Please allow an additional 30-60 minutes for set up and clean up for your session if it takes place in your home. You must be able to guarantee a minimum 12’x12′ open space for your session at your home as well. Contact us for details.

All newborn sessions will include quality props and backdrops. After you book your session, you will have the option to fill out a short online questionnaire to help me plan your session. This is where you can give color and prop requests. If you have a prop or theme you would like included in your session, we will discuss if this is possible. It is helpful for me to see a photo of the prop or item you have to include in your session ahead of the session. Most newborn sessions include about 6 setups/backdrops plus family images. Each session is different and it depends on the cooperative nature of your little one.

The digital images from your session will be available to view in a private online gallery within 5-14 days of your session date. You will have the option to add on other high quality prints and custom products to your order if you wish. Once you return our order form, Just Peachy Photography will send you an invoice with your balance. When your payment has been received, you will receive your digital images within 5-7 business days and print/custom product orders within 2-3 weeks. If you would like to put a rush on your proofs/order, you may pay an additional fee to do so. Please inquire for rates. We also offer a payment plan. Please inquire for details.

In order to book your newborn session, contact us with what type of session you would like to book. Petite sessions are great for those families who are on a limited budget or just want a few images of their new baby. Families can choose between a 2 set up session (bucket/basket/wraps) OR images with mom, dad and baby on one backdrop. Full sessions are great if you want both images of baby and family, including siblings or if you want a variety of set ups (up to 6 set ups including family and beanbag poses). The next step is to check for availability. Just Peachy Photography can only schedule a certain number of babies per month as their births are unpredictable and we want to be sure we have a space for every family we book. Once you know we have availability, you will need to return a signed contract agreeing to our terms and give a $150 retainer payment to reserve your date. This payment will be applied to your final order. Once your baby is born, contact us to set up an exact date and time for your session. Most newborn sessions take place in the morning starting at 9 am but we can be flexible if needed!
